The National Testing Agency (NTA) (ugc net 2025) has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting ugc net, which is a Test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ as well as ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian Universities and Colleges.The UGC-NET is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode w.e.f. December 2018 onwards.

UGC-NET is conducted twice every year (June & December). In order to regularize the UGC-NET examination cycle, the National Testing Agency (NTA), with the concurrence of UGC is conducting UGC NET December 2023 in 83 subjects, at selected cities across the country.

Awarding of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/ or Eligibility for Assistant Professorship depends on the aggregate performance of the candidate in Paper-I and Paper-II of UGC-NET. The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professorship are not eligible to be considered for the award of JRF. Candidates who qualify the eligibility test for Assistant Professorship are governed by the rules and regulations of the concerned ..Universities/Colleges/State Governments, as the case may be for recruitment of Assistant Professor.

Subject: Release of Admit Card for UGC – NET June 2025 – reg.

1. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC – NET June 2025
   Examination for 85 subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT), mode at different
   cities across the country from 25th June 2025 to 29th June 2025.
2. The candidates have already been intimated about the city and date of
   examination.
3. The Admit cards for UGC – NET June 2025 examination to be conducted on
   26th June 2025 have been released today i.e. 23 June 2025.
4. The Candidates are advised to download their Admit Card of UGC – NET June
   2025 Examination (using Application No. and Date of Birth) along with the
   undertaking from the website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/ and go through the
   instructions contained therein.
5. In case any candidate faces difficulty in downloading the Admit Card or
   discrepancy in the details contained in the Admit Card, candidates for UGC
   – NET June 2025, he/she can contact on 011- 40759000 or e – mail at
   ugcnet@nta.ac.in.
6. The Candidates are advised to keep visiting the official website of NTA
